About Reconnect Centre
Reconnect Centre is a therapeutic space dedicated to supporting adults with emotional wellbeing, chronic pain, and mental health challenges. We understand the complex connection between mind and body, and we offer care that reflects that understanding.

Our approach is grounded in emotional depth, compassion, and clinical integrity. We're committed to providing evidence-based, client-centred care that feels safe collaborative, and attuned to your needs - whether you're navigating long-standing patterns or seeking support through a difficult season.

Sessions are currently offered via secure telehealth, making therapy accessible, flexible, and private.
Our Philosophy

Emotion-Focused Care
We believe that lasting change comes from getting to the heart of what we feel, not just what we think. Our work is grounded in emotional insight, and we aim to support clients to gently explore what's beneath the surface, at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
Evidence-Based Practice
Our approach is rooted in established clinical models such as Experiential Dynamic Therapy (EDT) and may incorporate other evidence-based modalities depending on your needs. We draw from research, but always adapt to the individual in front of us.

Telehealth with Intention
Reconnect Centre offers therapy exclusively via secure telehealth. This allows you to access care from the comfort of your own space, without compromising depth, connection, or professionalism.
Meet the Founder
Reconnect Centre was founded by Ada Kuang (she/her), a Clinical Psychologist with over eight years of experience supporting adults with emotional distress, mental health challenges, and chronic pain.

Her therapeutic approach is primarily informed by Experiential Dynamic Therapy (EDT), a model that supports clients in accessing and working through core emotional experiences in a safe and supported way. She also draws elements from other evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), tailoring each session to the unique needs and goals of the individual

Ada is particularly interested in the connection between emotional distress and chronic pain - especially in how unprocessed trauma can affect both the mind and the body. She is drawn to working with individuals who experience medically unexplained symptoms, trauma, and long-term stress-related conditions.

Before founding Reconnect Centre, Ada worked for several years in a multidisciplinary community-based Chronic Pain Clinic. There, she collaborated closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff to support individuals living with persistent pain. This experience continues to inform her deep respect for the complex relationship between emotional health, trauma, and physical symptoms.

Outside of clinical work, Ada is a passionate advocate for mental health and community wellbeing. She currently serves on the board of a women's shelter organisation dedicating to supporting women and children impacted by family violence - a cause close to her heart.

At home, Ada finds joy in the small, meaningful moments - spending time with her young family of five (including her very loved Japanese Spitz dog), sharing good food, and staying connected to what matters most.

Reconnect Centre is a reflection of Ada's belief in thoughtful, client-centred care that honours both emotional depth and practical healing.
