Our Services

Reconnect Centre is a specialist psychologically led clinic supporting adults living with persistent pain, chronic health conditions, trauma, and emotional health concerns.

We recognise that physical symptoms, emotional wellbeing, and life experiences are often interconnected. Our approach considers the relationship between mind, body, emotions and the nervous system with care tailored to each person's individual needs and goals.

Support is available in person from our South Yarra clinic and via secure telehealth, providing flexibility in how you access care.

Our work is evidence-informed and draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Experiential Dynamic Therapy (EDT), adapted to the unique circumstances of each person we work with.

What to Expect?

Therapy at Reconnect Centre is designed to feel safe, respectful, and emotionally attuned. We take a warm and collaborative approach, working together to explore what's beneath the surface, without rushing or overwhelming you.

1    Starting Therapy

Your first session at Reconnect Centre is an extended 90-minute appointment. This gives you the opportunity to share what’s brought you in and discuss your goals. It’s also a time to ask questions and decide if our approach feels like the right fit for you. We understand that many people come to therapy after navigating persistent pain, chronic illness, trauma, or emotional distress for a long time.

2    Our approach

Sessions are collaborative, paced according to your needs, and focused on understanding the relationship between emotions, physical symptoms, life experiences, and nervous symptom responses. Together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to distress, disconnection, or ongoing difficulties particularly in the context of persistent pain, trauma, chronic illness, and emotional health concerns. Care is tailored to the individual, recognising the no single approach is right for everyone.

3    Care That Fits Around You

Appointments are available in person at our South Yarra clinic and via secure telehealth, allowing you to choose the setting that best suits your needs.

Our South Yarra location provides a private, considered space for face-to-face care, while telehealth offers greater flexibility and accessibility for people who may be managing persistent pain, fatigue, mobility limitations, demanding schedules or distance.

Whichever format you choose, our focus remains the same: providing thoughful, individualised and clinically informed care.

Acknowledgement of Country

Reconnect Centre acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land on which our South Yarra practice stands. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that this land was never ceded and that First Nations peoples’ connection to Country, culture and community continues unbroken today.

As we also provide care via telehealth to clients joining us from across Australia, we extend this acknowledgement and our respect to the many Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters from which our clients connect with us, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are committed to providing culturally safe, respectful and inclusive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to all clients, regardless of background.
