Fees & Rebates

At Reconnect Centre, we aim to make accessing support as smooth and transparent as possible. Below you’ll find key information about rebates, payment, and our cancellation policy.

 

Session Fees

Reconnect Centre offers extended trial therapy sessions and standard individual therapy sessions via secure telehealth.

For current session fees, please contact the Centre. We’ll be happy to provide you with up-to-date information and help you understand what rebate options may be available to you.

Medicare Rebates

If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for psychological therapy services provided at Reconnect Centre.

The current rebate ranges between $99.02 and $145.24 per session, depending on your consultation.

After your session, we’ll process your Medicare rebate on your behalf, so there’s no extra admin for you to manage.

NDIS (Self-Managed & Plan Managed)

Reconnect Centre welcomes adult NDIS participants who are either self-managed or plan-managed.

  • Self-managed: You'll be invoiced directly after each session. Session fees are paid by you and can be claimed back from your NDIS plan. Please note that there may be an out-of-pocket cost, depending on your plan's funding and coverage.

  • Plan-managed: We invoice your plan manager after each session, in line with your plan's requirements.

  • We do not currently accept NDIA-managed (agency-managed) referrals.

As part of the intake process, we'll request a copy of your NDIS plan and funding details. If you're unsure whether your plan covers psychology services, we encourage you to check with your support coordinator or plan manager.

Private Health Rebates

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim a rebate for psychological therapy through your fund. Please note:

  • You cannot claim both a Medicare and private health rebate for the same session.

  • If you’ve used all your Medicare sessions or prefer not to used them, private health cover may be used instead.

We recommend checking directly with your provider to confirm your eligibility.

Payments

To help streamline your experience, session fees are processed in full on the morning of your appointment. This allows us to take care of admin ahead of time, so you can simply focus on your session when the time comes. Your Medicare rebate (if applicable) will be processed following your appointment.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable. However, to ensure fair access for all clients, we have a 48-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.

  • Appointments changed or cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice – no fee

  • Appointments changed, cancelled or rescheduled with 24-48 hours’ notice – will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Appointments changed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ or a Missed appointments (no-shows) – will incur full fee

  • These fees are not Medicare rebatable.

This policy applies to both cancellations and rescheduling requests, as your session time is reserved exclusively for you and cannot always be offered to another client at short notice. Details of this policy are outlined in the client agreement provided before your first session.

 

Important Notes

At Reconnect Centre, our focus is on providing therapeutic support for individual mental health and emotional wellbeing.

We accept referrals through Medicare, WorkSafe (WorkCover), NDIS (plan-managed and self-managed), private health insurers, and privately funded clients. 

We do not provide services under TAC or  and complete reports of any kind-including court reports, assessments, or forensic evaluations.
